Additionally, legally each individual will be seen as if they were never married. A divorce is the dissolution of a valid marriage, which will result in the division of property. The following are generally the grounds for an annulment in Texas:

  • Under the age of 18
  • Under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Impotency
  • Fraud
  • Forced marriage
  • Invalid marriage license
  • Divorced within the past 30 days
  • Currently married.
