Sralla Family Law, PLLC Makes Exciting Staff Changes To Serve San Antonio Clients
On Behalf of Kevin E. Sralla | September 4, 2025 | Press Releases
SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Sralla Family Law, PLLC celebrates team members’ career advancements and announces key changes in staffing to serve the legal interests of San Antonio families. The firm highlights a new team member, recognizes a valued paralegal who is pursuing law school, and reintroduces a returning former employee who has rejoined the firm with a well-earned promotion.
Sralla Family Law, PLLC Hires New Senior Paralegal
Mike A. Garza, a longtime San Antonio paralegal and process server, has joined the legal team at Sralla Family Law, PLLC as Senior Paralegal.
Garza, 62, has worked at many of the top firms in San Antonio including The Law Office of Lisa Vance, The Office of Arnulfo Ortiz and Higdon Hardy & Zuflacht, and, most recently, with TXdocs, LLC, a company that provides a popular legal document assembly and case management system in Texas.
Garza brings to the job more than 16 years of experience as a paralegal, process server, and notary public through his former service of process business. He is also fluent in Spanish.
Originally from Raymondville, Texas, Garza is a former migrant worker and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
“I wanted to get back into paralegal work, and Buck was very friendly and knowledgeable,” said Garza. “I look forward to working with him and fighting for our clients.”
Sralla said Garza’s reputation as a strong, effective paralegal is apparent. “Attorneys who know Mike told me to ‘snap him up’ and I did. He’s got a great personality and has become a great addition to the office.”
Mike is married to Janet Garza, and they have been together for over 18 years. Together, Mike and Janet share their home with Janet’s mother, Judy, and their pets—three cats and one dog. In their spare time, Mike and Janet enjoy eating out, traveling, crafting, and working on home improvement projects together.
Legal Assistant to Begin Law School at St. Mary’s University
Arik Hernandez, legal assistant and paralegal, will be leaving Sralla Family Law PLLC to begin St. Mary’s University School of Law in the fall of 2025.
Hernandez, who has worked with the firm since 2023, graduated from the University of Texas – Austin in Advertising in 2022, but after working with Kevin “Buck” Sralla, Hernandez decided to study law.
“I really liked the way Buck handles his cases and how he helps so many people,” said Hernandez. “I’m interested in the way the law affects people and their families.”
Hernandez follows in the steps of former Sralla Family Law PLLC paralegal, Alyssa E. Perez, who begins her second year of law school at St. Mary’s University as well.
Sralla is proud of his paralegals’ interest in pursuing the law.
“We’re building a farm league for family law,” said Sralla, “and I’m excited that they are talking about coming back to the firm.”
Former Employee Returns to Sralla Family Law, PLLC
Dora V. Roque, a former paralegal with Sralla Family Law, PLLC, has returned to Sralla Family Law, PLLC, as a legal assistant/paralegal to replace Legal Assistant Arik Hernandez, who will begin law school in the Fall.
Roque, who has more than a decade of experience as a paralegal with our firm and with Law Offices of Warren Alan Wolf, rejoins the staff of our 5-member boutique family law office located on the southeast side of San Antonio.
Roque, who is fluent in Spanish, earned her paralegal certificate from Texas Careers in 2007 and has been a career coach for a company that coordinates with the Texas Attorney General’s Office to help parents who owe child support seek employment.
“It’s great to be back with Buck and Patty (Sralla),” said Roque.
Roque has two adult children, Joy and Philip, and enjoys hiking and reading books in her spare time.
